Every auction house that sells online eventually runs into the same question. The marketplace brought in bidders, but the bidders belong to the marketplace. Their accounts, their watch lists, their bidding history and their email addresses all live on someone else’s domain, and every sale you run there makes that domain a little stronger.

White label auction software is the answer to that problem. It puts the whole auction, from catalog to invoice, on your own website under your own brand. Bidders register with your auction house. The data is yours. The commission you pay is to no one.

This guide compares the white label auction platforms an auction house is most likely to shortlist in 2026, explains what “white label” should actually include, and gives you the questions to ask in a demo. We build one of these platforms, so we have an obvious interest. We have tried to be fair about where each product fits, using each vendor’s own published positioning.

What White Label Auction Software Should Include

The phrase gets used loosely. Some vendors mean “we put your logo on our page”. For an auction house, the bar is higher. A white label auction platform worth the name should give you all of the following:

  • Your domain. Bidders browse and bid at yourauctionhouse.com, not at vendor.com/yourauctionhouse.
  • Your bidder accounts. Registration, approval and paddle numbers happen in your system. If you leave, the list leaves with you.
  • No third-party branding on the bidding page. Not in the footer, not in the confirmation email, not on the invoice.
  • The back office in the same system. Cataloging, consignment, invoicing, settlement and shipping. A branded bidding widget on top of a separate admin tool is only half a platform.
  • A clean exit. Full data export of lots, bidders, consignors and results. Ask for a sample file before you sign.

If a platform meets those five points, everything else is a matter of fit: which auction formats it runs, which categories it understands, and how much of the work it does for you.

The Platforms Compared

Circuit Auction AI

Circuit runs the entire auction house inside the website you already own. It installs as a WordPress auction plugin, with custom-built sites also supported, and takes about five minutes to connect. From there it covers consignment intake, AI cataloging, timed and live auctions with absentee bidding, a built-in auction house CRM for bidders and consignors, automatic invoicing, consignor settlement, shipping labels, multi-currency pricing and more than 40 interface languages.

The positioning is narrow on purpose. Circuit is built for auction houses selling fine art, antiques, coins, stamps, watches and other collectibles, and the cataloging tools reflect that: grading fields, provenance, condition reports and category-specific templates. It is not designed for charity galas or fundraising events.

Best for: collectibles auction houses that want the bidding front end and the back office in one white label system on their own domain, without a development project.

AuctionMobility

AuctionMobility sells “a branded auction platform, built just for you”, with bidding through your website and native iOS and Android apps carrying your name. It supports live simulcast sales with an in-person crowd and online bidders at the same time, as well as timed online-only sales, and it states plainly that you own all customer data.

The native app is the differentiator. If your bidders expect to tap an icon on their phone rather than open a browser, and you are willing to promote and maintain an app, AuctionMobility is the platform most focused on that experience.

Best for: established auction houses that want a branded native mobile app alongside web bidding.

Bidsquare Cloud

Bidsquare Cloud offers a custom-branded auction platform integrated into your website, with live, timed and “buy now” formats, inventory and consignment management, and an analytics layer it calls Bidsquare IQ. Its distinctive feature is the link to the Bidsquare marketplace: sales on your own site can be co-listed there for extra exposure, with bids synchronized between the two.

That makes it a hybrid rather than a pure white label play. You keep a branded platform, but part of the strategy is still marketplace traffic and the fees that come with it.

Best for: auction houses that want their own branded site but are not ready to give up marketplace reach.

BidWrangler

BidWrangler describes itself as a white label auction software company with an all-in-one solution for auctioneers around the globe. It runs live, online and timed auctions, offers a branded mobile app for Apple and Android, includes AI tools that draft titles and descriptions from photos, and handles invoicing, payments and seller settlements. Real estate auctions get specific support, and live video streaming is built in.

It is a broad general-auctioneer platform rather than a collectibles specialist, which is a strength if you sell across many categories and a limitation if you need deep philatelic or numismatic cataloging.

Best for: general auctioneers, including those running real estate and equipment sales, who want one branded system for everything.

AuctionWorx by RainWorx

AuctionWorx is the most configurable option on this list. The pitch is “your domain, your logo, your colors” on a platform that has been in the market for more than two decades, with an Events Edition for scheduled auctions with staggered lot closing and auto-extend. It supports multi-seller setups, which means you can run a marketplace of your own, and it charges no per-listing fees or commission.

The flip side of configurability is that you are closer to running a software product than subscribing to a service. Expect to make more decisions and do more setup than with the packaged platforms above.

Best for: organizations building their own multi-seller auction marketplace, or auction houses with technical staff who want full control.

Handbid

Handbid offers a thorough white label package: every color, font and message can be customized, with branded apps, a custom domain and branded emails, so guests “never see our name”. It is worth including because it ranks for the term, but its market is fundraising: nonprofits, galas, schools and corporate events, with sealed bids and reverse auctions on the feature list.

For an auction house selling consigned property with buyer’s premiums and consignor settlements, it is the wrong shape of tool, however well branded.

Best for: charities and event organizers, not commercial auction houses.

Artisio

Artisio is a complete front-to-back auction system with strong inventory control, multi-branch and multi-currency support, and an open API. It does not market itself as white label, and its bidding runs under the Artisio brand, but the depth of the back office and the API mean a technical team could build a branded front end on top of it.

Best for: larger auction houses that prioritize back office depth and integration over a packaged branded storefront.

Where Marketplaces Still Fit

None of this means you should leave LiveAuctioneers, Invaluable or the-saleroom tomorrow. Marketplaces do one thing very well: they put your lots in front of bidders who have never heard of you. The mistake is treating the marketplace as your platform rather than as one marketing channel among several.

The auction houses growing fastest run the sale on their own white label platform and syndicate selected lots to a marketplace when the reach is worth the fee. New bidders who arrive through the marketplace are invited to register directly for the next sale. Over a few seasons, the balance shifts, and so does the commission bill.

Questions to Ask in Every Demo

  1. Where do bidders register? Ask to see the registration page and check the URL.
  2. Show me a bidder’s invoice. Whose logo is on it, and whose bank details?
  3. What happens to absentee bids when the live sale starts? They should execute automatically against floor bids without staff re-entering them.
  4. Can a specialist edit the AI’s catalog draft and see who changed what? Drafting is useful. Silent overwriting is not.
  5. Export my data now. If they cannot show you a full export during the demo, assume it will be harder later.
  6. What do I pay when a sale does badly? Flat subscriptions and percentage fees behave very differently in a slow season. Circuit’s pricing is published for exactly that reason.

Making the Decision

If you sell collectibles and want the shortest path to a branded auction on your own domain, with the back office included, Circuit is built for you. If a native app is the priority, look hard at AuctionMobility. If you cannot yet let go of marketplace traffic, Bidsquare Cloud is the compromise. If you are a general auctioneer selling across many unrelated categories, BidWrangler fits. If you want to build a marketplace of your own, AuctionWorx is the toolkit.

Whichever you choose, hold the vendor to the five-point definition at the top of this article. White label is not a logo swap. It is ownership of the bidder relationship, and that is the asset an auction house is really buying.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is white label auction software?

Auction software that runs under your auction house’s brand and domain, so bidders register, bid and pay with you rather than with a third-party marketplace. A complete white label platform also includes the back office: cataloging, invoicing, consignor settlement and shipping.

Is white label auction software more expensive than a marketplace?

Usually it is a flat subscription rather than a percentage of hammer price, so the comparison depends on your volume. Auction houses selling more than a few hundred thousand a year in hammer typically pay less on a subscription, and they keep the bidder list, which a marketplace never gives back.

Can I use white label software and a marketplace at the same time?

Yes. Most auction houses run the sale on their own platform and syndicate selected lots to a marketplace for reach. Some platforms, such as Bidsquare Cloud, build that syndication in. With Circuit, the sale lives on your site and marketplace listings point bidders back to it.

Do I need a developer to set up white label auction software?

Not with a plugin-based platform. Circuit installs on an existing WordPress site in minutes without technical staff, and the Circuit team can build the site for auction houses that do not have one. Highly configurable platforms such as AuctionWorx assume more technical involvement.
